Can I walk in to see a doctor today?
Yes. Lifecare Primary Medical accepts walk-ins and same-day visits Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, at 7103 South Peek Road, Suite 520, Richmond, TX 77407. Same-day visits are for illnesses and concerns that need attention soon but are not emergencies, such as a fever, cough, sore throat, sinus pressure, urinary symptoms or a new rash.
Calling ahead at 281-712-7757 is not required, but it helps us prepare for your visit and can shorten your wait. If you think your symptoms could be life-threatening, call 911 instead.

Respiratory illness
Cold and flu-like symptoms, cough, congestion, sinus pressure, sore throat and ear pain.
Stomach and urinary problems
Nausea, vomiting or diarrhea that is not severe, and burning or frequent urination.
Skin concerns
New rashes, hives, minor skin infections and insect bites.
Allergies and asthma flares
Seasonal allergy symptoms and mild asthma flares in patients who are breathing comfortably.
Minor aches and injuries
Back or joint pain, headaches and minor sprains that need an evaluation.
Chronic condition check-ins
A blood pressure or blood sugar reading that is higher than usual, or a medication problem that cannot wait.

Same-day primary care (our clinic)
Best for non-emergency illnesses and concerns, especially when it helps to be seen by a team that has your history, medications and lab results. Your visit becomes part of your ongoing record, and we can arrange follow-up.
Urgent care centers
Useful after hours or on weekends, when our office is closed. Some urgent care centers offer services such as on-site X-rays.
Emergency department
For symptoms that could be life-threatening or cause permanent harm. Do not wait for a clinic visit in these situations; call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department.

Same-day visits are seen by Dr. Samira Khan or one of our advanced practice providers: Tanveer Khan, MPAS, PA-C; Sadaf Siddiqui, MPAS, PA-C; and Nettah Ndungu, FNP-C. Dr. Khan is an internal medicine physician affiliated with Memorial Hermann Katy Hospital.
Because our team also provides ongoing primary care, a sick visit can double as a chance to review medications, update screenings or establish care with us.
Your visit
What to expect when you walk in
- Check-in. Bring a photo ID, your insurance card and a list of your medications. Our staff will collect your information and the reason for your visit.
- Vital signs and history. A team member checks your temperature, blood pressure and other vital signs and asks about your symptoms.
- Evaluation. Your provider examines you and may recommend tests, such as lab work, to help find the cause.
- Treatment plan. You leave with a clear plan, any prescriptions you need, and guidance on what to watch for.
- Follow-up. If you need a recheck, or if the visit uncovers something that needs ongoing care, we schedule it before you go.
Wait times vary with how busy the clinic is. Calling ahead helps. Coverage varies by insurance plan; please call to confirm before your visit.
When to call 911 instead
Our clinic is not an emergency department. Call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department for:
- Chest pain, pressure or tightness.
- Severe difficulty breathing, or lips turning blue.
- Signs of stroke: face drooping, arm weakness or trouble speaking.
- Fainting, confusion or a seizure.
- Severe abdominal pain, vomiting blood or black stools.
- Heavy bleeding, a deep wound, a head injury or a possible broken bone.
- A severe allergic reaction with swelling of the face or throat.
- Thoughts of harming yourself. You can also call or text 988.

Do I need an appointment to be seen today?
No. Walk-ins are welcome Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM. Calling ahead at 281-712-7757 is helpful but not required.
Is Lifecare Primary Medical an urgent care center?
No. We are a primary care and internal medicine practice that offers same-day and walk-in visits for non-emergency problems. We are not an emergency room.
Are you open on weekends?
No. Our office hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM. For non-emergency problems on weekends, an urgent care center may help. For emergencies, call 911.
Can I use a walk-in visit to become a new patient?
Yes. Many patients first meet us at a sick visit and then establish ongoing primary care.
